Outline of duties:

  • Develop, install, and continuously improve all processes that are involved in the warehousing of raw material. This includes but is not limited to receiving of raw material, moving of raw material from the dock area to the warehouse & presenting raw material line side from the warehouse.
  • Develop and maintain a value stream map for each warehousing process.
  • Update/modify warehouse layout & present changes to the manufacturing team during layout reviews. AutoCAD.
  • Support the implementation of a WMS system, and continuously improve and update the WMS processes to increase inventory accuracy and operator efficiency.
  • Utilize lean manufacturing principles to support the goals as established by Management. Great focus will be placed upon safety goals, efficiency goals, cost goals and organization goals.
  • Work with Production and Material Management to ensure facility readiness for all new program launches.
  • Perform time studies and develop processes that better balance work assignments.
  • Develop requirements for and obtain capital funding for required plant equipment.
  • Implement Poke yoke systems to prevent errors in the manufacturing process.
  • Work in conjunction with the process and facility group to maintain proper layouts of the Warehouse.
  • Create efficient systems that minimize manual paperwork.
  • Work in concert with supporting groups to implement process changes within the warehouse.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology from four-year college or university and 2+ years of related experience. Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Engineering, or Logistics Engineering preferred.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Project Management experience with capability to develop, lead, prioritize work, manage, and report status of projects.
  • Can perform daily duties independently. Ability to multi-task successfully without sacrificing quality or accuracy.
  • General knowledge of Logistics processes, warehouse management, packaging, transportation, and conveyance.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, Outlook) required; proficiency in MS Access, Power BI, or Tableau a plus.
  • Occasional domestic and/or international travel required.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience developing value stream maps for new and current processes.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles to support the goals as established by Management.
  • Experience developing budget plans and ROI for required plant equipment.
  • Experience with data collection technology.
  • Experience with process simulation software.
  • Multi-disciplinary experience in process or equipment engineering.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD, Solidworks, and/or CATIA.
