Eligibility:

• Only Full-Time SIA Production Associates currently working in the Materials are eligible to apply.
• Team Leaders are not eligible to apply for this posting

Brief Description of Duties:

• Collaborate with Shop Management, Engineering, Maintenance, etc. on model change line layout(s), designs, etc.
• Study initial line designs and collaborate with key stakeholders to confirm safety, ergonomics, quality, and staffing utilization.
• Assist in line trials and cycle time confirmations.
• Assist with the countermeasure of design issues alongside engineering and production.
• Develop training documentation and assist with training activity to assigned section.
• Work, alongside a team, to complete manufacturing processes towards the final assembly of Subaru vehicles.
• Participate in Safety, Environmental, and Continuous Improvement (Kaizen) activities.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Basic computer skills (Excel, Word)
• Strong technical writing skills
• Knowledge in reading and interpreting blueprints/engineering drawings.
• Strong knowledge of automotive manufacturing processes.
• A “RESUME” is required to move forward in this process.   

Desirable Qualifications:

• Previous experience in basic fabrication.
• Experience working with manufacturing equipment including install jigs, air-powered/electric tooling, etc.

• Must meet minimum qualifications to continue in the process. (i.e., resume / interviews)
• Associate will return to the same section and shift once the project is complete.
