Outline of duties:

• Utilize part drawings, technical specifications and other standards to determine part requirements and conformance to those requirements. 
• Travel to suppliers to perform process audits and quality management system audits.
• Track and analyze trend data for key metrics in order to identify and prioritize improvement projects. 
• Serve as subject expert for department and plant as applicable for cross functional teams, audit groups, and training. 
• Review and disposition Problem and Countermeasure Reports from suppliers. mentor, direct and aid SQA Hourly Associates. 
• Interact and communicate with SRD, Purchasing, ME, PE, IPC, Production Shops and suppliers. 
• Support development, qualification and organization of containment activities.

Minimum Qualifications:

• BS in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology or Mechanical Engineering Technology or 5 years of relevant industrial manufacturing work experience
• The ability to analyze data, and formulate a plan based on the analysis
• Able to design and perform studies to understand and identify root cause and aid in countermeasure process 
• Capability to provide leadership to various levels of the organization and across all departments
• The ability to present complex material in simple and easy to understand way
• Experience with electronic assembly
• Ability to measure circuits and signals on a PCB to determine component level failures
• Hands on experience with Oscilloscopes, VOM's, functions generators, and spectrum analyzers
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (especially excel) as well as the ability to read print and technical drawings
• Knowledge of PFMEA and Control plans

Preferred Qualifications:

• 5+ years’ experience in Supplier Quality, Manufacturing quality or Manufacturing engineering position. 
• Automotive OEM or Tier 1 supplier experience. 
• ASQ/SME/Six Signa or other applicable professional certification
• Experience with electronic manufacturing and in line/end of line testing
• Familiar with CAN communications and C-Programming
• Experience with DC Applications
• PCB Board and soldering experience
• Familiarity with DVP & R for electronics
