Outline of duties:

  • Interpret engineering blueprints and program the CMM to measure component parts and assemblies.
  • Measure supplied parts using CMM and other measurement equipment.
  • Clearly communicate inspection findings to engineering, manufacturing, and quality departments.
  • Perform routine dimensional analysis on a scheduled basis.
  • Work with internal and external technical personnel to develop and validate part measurement methods.
  • Evaluate inspection results to determine conformance to requirements.
  • Must be willing to training on 1st Shift.
  • Attend to any other assignments made by Management.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Mechanical Aptitude
  • Electrical Aptitude
  • Math Aptitude – Knowledge of Geometry & Trigonometry
  • Computer Skills – Knowledge of Excel / Word
  • Ability to interpret engineering blueprints and program the CMM to measure component parts and assemblies.
  • Capable to measure supplied parts using CMM and other measurement equipment.
  • Strong Understanding of GD & T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing)
  • Experience in with precision inspection equipment (i.e., micrometers, calipers, height gage, gage blocks, optical comparator, etc.)

 Preferred Qualifications:

  •  Experience viewing/analyzing and exporting files in Computer Aided Design and Drafting software (i.e. AutoCAD, Catia, Solidworks etc.)
  • Familiarity with CMM programming languages MCOSMOS, MSURF, Polyworks.
  • Quality certifications such as ASQ CMI/CQT, Six Sigma etc.
  • Automotive Quality Experience.
  • Previous training and experience in Statistical Quality Control and Sampling Procedures.
  • Statistical Software experience…
