Position Summary:
The Staffing Analyst is responsible for gathering and processing qualitative and quantitative data around hourly production and maintenance jobs to help formulate and execute staffing strategies necessary to achieve SIA’s operational objectives and targets.

 

Outline of Duties:

  • Experience in forecasting and analyzing production workforce needs to meet production targets considering absenteeism, leave, training and other metrics in coordination with production scheduling and planned fluctuations in production volumes.
  • Gathers and evaluates benchmark data about industrial and manufacturing jobs, labor market conditions and wages.
  • Calculates and tracks retention, turnover, and internal mobility rates for use in in forecasting and analyzing future staffing needs.
  • Reports on key hourly recruiting metrics such as time-to-fill, training durations and hiring and turnover costs.
  • Assists hiring managers and departmental staffing coordinators in determining staffing needs, designing hiring, and onboarding processes, and evaluating effectiveness of OJT training plans.
  • Acts as subject matter expert regarding SIA’s labor distribution, transfer and related staffing policies and procedures.
  • Assists with development of annual labor and training budgets.
  • Track candidate applications, sources and maintains candidate disposition statuses.
  • Assists with hiring, selection, and onboarding of new hourly Associates.
  • Meets regularly with staffing coordinators, production scheduling representatives and other key stakeholders to ensure effective cross-departmental concerns and experiences are considered in HR’s comprehensive staffing strategies.
  • Actively participates in section and departmental staff meetings.
  • Works with end users to establish checks and controls to ensure data and system integrity is maintained.
  • Maintains knowledge of HR industry best practices and current trends and participates in continuous professional development opportunities.
  • Designs, creates, and distributes surveys to gather actionable data.
  • Analyzes survey results and provides actionable insights to inform HR and organizational strategies.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or related field and 2 years of relevant experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Management, or related field and 4 years of relevant experience
  • Experience with programming languages (SQL)
  • Experience with survey tools and analytics (Qualtrics)
