Staff Cost Accountant – Cost Accounting

Finance Department

Position Summary:

The Staff Accountant maintains financial records, prepares financial reports, performs account reconciliations, reviews, and analyzes general ledger transactions, assists other departments, and applies critical thinking to solve dynamic problems.

Outline of duties:

• Prepares, analyzes, and reviews financial statements using accounting principles.
• Calculates and records daily/weekly journal entries.
• Assists with the budgeting and forecasting of areas of responsibility.
• Prepares periodic reporting (daily, weekly, monthly) for internal Finance and external SIA purposes.
• Coordinates accounting matters with other departments
• Prepares ad-hoc reports as needed
• Initiates and performs special projects.
• Prepares physical inventory audits and controls
• Applies critical thinking to solve dynamic problems
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required plus 1 or more years relevant experience
• Experience with MS Office applications

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting required plus 3 or more years relevant experience
• Experience with SAP
