Outline of duties:

The SIA Production Control Professional staff position for the PPM group is responsible for

the successful launch of New Vehicle Models and Annual Model Changes to meet the expectations of

the end customer. This position requires the ability to manage projects across several groups and

teams. The Professional Staff position will need to lead & coordinate activity for the projects

to which they are assigned.


Essential Job Functions

  • Lead internal project team for model development activities. Report status of established KPI's for assigned projects and lead SIA internal Project Team meetings. Responsible for issuing E-mail with follow up items and homework items after Internal PT Meetings.
  • Coordinate external Project Team meeting between SIA and SBR sections. This includes issuing the invite; setting agenda; pre-viewing SIA material to assure sections are ready to report; taking & issuing meeting minutes; assisting in good overall communication project team members.
  • Creating and managing Master Schedules and Trial Event Schedules for SIA model changes. This

includes gathering requirements from all stakeholders; negotiating schedule requirements with SBR counterpart sections; coordinating & developing daily trial event schedules. Responsible for tracking vehicle progress and shipping status for model change event and SBR requested vehicles.

  • Leading preparations for SIA trial events related to an upcoming SIA model change. This includes:
  • receipt and issue of specification sheets; tracking ECS's, (Engineering Change Sheets), and drawing receipt for an upcoming model; ordering parts for both SBR and SIA trial events; coordinating the shipment of SIA produced parts for SBR events, preparing presentations & reporting during model change related meetings, managing unified problem tracking list.
  • Coordination and management of special projects. This includes the issue and management of SBR issued AAS's, (Action Authorization Sheets), and coordination of crash test and special purpose vehicles for development requested by SBR. AAS's are issued when processes need to be taken outside of normal procedures. The PPM group is responsible for managing these instances.
  • Coordination or management of other special projects not related to model change activities. The PPM group will be asked to assist in the planning and management of special projects including, but not limited to facility expansions, line speed changes and process changes involving multiple sections.

  • Travel Requirements
  • Overseas and Domestic Travel up to 3 times per year, (1~4 weeks per trip).
  • Responsible for maintaining current passport and driver's license to assure travel eligibility

  • Required Education, Experience and Qualifications
    • Higher education equivalent to an Organizational Leadership certificate.
  • MS Office, including Excel skills.


Desired Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Organizational Leadership / Project Management or related field.
  • Previous model launch experience
  • Basic knowledge of automotive systems and construction
