Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. was the first zero-landfill automotive manufacturing company in America and is the safest vehicle manufacturer in the country. SIA is a proud pioneer and industry leader in vehicle safety and environmental responsibility. The manufacturing plant is a 4.4 million square foot facility with 6,400+ associates and is growing. The automotive manufacturing plant houses both production and administration offices. The SIA facility is a fully-integrated automotive OEM, meaning that our manufacturing process begins with sheet metal and ends with a high-quality vehicle – all under one roof. Subaru’s customer base has proven to be economically resilient during economic downturns. This brand loyalty has led to our plant’s continuous and aggressive growth since its 1989 inception.

• While summer internships are most common (late May – August), students who study within the Lafayette to Indianapolis area have the ability to maintain their internship throughout the year in a continuous fashion. Living in the area allows flexible entry into the program. Local interns could begin the program any month of the year without a set end date.
