Manufacturing Engineering Logistics

 

 

Outline of duties:

  • Develop, install, and continuously improve all processes that are involved in the storage and delivery of finished goods. This includes but is not limited to finished goods receiving, movement of goods from the dock area to the warehouse, movement from the warehouse to the production line as well as movement of goods between external cross docks and warehouses.
  • Assists with the implementation of efficient and competitive logistics solutions. Manage multiple small and medium size projects.
  • Develop and maintain the internal logistics engineering standards, knowledge, and tools.  Assure their implementation in existing and new operations.
  • Lead complex group projects and drive progress to plan, as well as networking in cross-functional and international teams.
  • Provide technical supply support advice, guidance, and assistance on supply operations to management.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Associates Degree plus 1 - 3 years relevant experience or 5 - 7 years relevant experience
    • Engineering Technology or Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or related field
  • Project Management experience with capability to develop, lead, prioritize work, manage, and report status of projects. 
  • General knowledge of Logistics processes, warehouse management, packaging, transportation, and conveyance.  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications (Excel, Word, Outlook); proficiency in ACAD
  • Occasional domestic and/or international travel required.

 

 

Desired Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering or 7-10 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with lean manufacturing principles to support the goals as established by Management. 
  • Proficiency in MS Access
  • Multi-disciplinary experience in process or equipment engineering. Proficient in AutoCAD, SolidWorks and/or CATIA.
