Outline of duties:

  • Model Change Activities: 
    • Support / lead bumper & injection mold development (requires travel to SBR and frequent weekend work at SIA)
    • Attend off-hour weekly tele-conferences with SBR
    • Coordinate and manage mold modifications/repairs with T&D and outside vendors (may require domestic travel)
    • Prepare engineering reports for upper management
  •  Production:
    • Support Production, Tool & Die, Maintenance and Service Parts to eliminate Safety concerns, improve Quality and address Productivity issues
    • Coordinate and manage mold modifications/repairs with T&D and outside vendors
    • Support/lead annual facility projects
  • Admin/Other: 
    • Manage/prepare project justifications, budgets, schedules, punch lists, etc
    • Fixed Asset management 
    • Attend necessary training to improve skill level for job functions


Minimum Qualifications:

  • BS degree (ME, MET or equivalent discipline) or Equivalent Experience  
  • Experience in injection molding processes, equipment, and mold design
  • Proficient using Solidworks & AutoCAD 
  • Proficient with MS Office applications 
  • Good planning and organizational skills
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills

  • Experience with 3D printing
  • Basic Japanese language skills
  • Experience with Mitsubishi PLC logic
