Overview of the Position: The Payroll Specialist is accountable for the payroll and timekeeping administration systems, ensuring accurate reporting of pay data, participating in project-based assignments and serves as subject matter expert for payroll and timekeeping.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Acts as a liaison between the company and payroll vendor.
  • Reviews vendor invoices, resolving disputes, and reporting on fees and costs.
  • Performs regular audits to ensure payroll and timekeeping accuracy.
  • Assists with payroll and timekeeping questions.
  • Partners with outside vendors and internal customers and business units to ensure accurate data submission to payroll system.
  • Manages end of year W2 process.
  • Creates and manages payroll documents; Collects and analyzes pay and timekeeping data to assist with pay strategy.
  • Develops training and educates leaders throughout SIA regarding pay policies and timekeeping procedures; communicates all payroll and timekeeping updates as needed.
  • Manages ADP Workforce Manager timekeeping system.
  • Participates in process improvement projects.
  • Maintains Associate confidence by keeping payroll information confidential.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Associates degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, or related field with 1-3 years of relevant experience.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, or related field with 5 years relevant experience.
  • Experience with ADP, SuccessFactors or similar system.
  • Certified Payroll Professional certification.
