Position Summary:
The Manager of Systems Development, Information Technology manages the development and analysis of information systems within SIA. This role ensures that information systems are appropriate for users’ needs and consistent with the overall design of SIA’s information systems architecture.
Outline of duties:
- Lead and oversee the work of a team responsible for designing, building, testing, deploying, maintaining, and supporting applications or systems software, including third-party Enterprise Applications.
- Manage the collection and definition of functional requirements. Review solutions to ensure organizational needs are met.
- Develop short- and long-term product roadmaps to ensure continuous improvement of software.
- Lead and manage full lifecycle system development for supported platforms.
- Lead the development of time and cost estimates for the implementation of new or revised applications systems that meet the current needs of the organization.
- Coordinate with administrators, architects, analysts, and/or consultants on matters of application development methodology.
- Lead and oversee the design, development, and management of SIA’s database environment. Ensure the design and installation of database management systems meet performance, security and cost objectives.
- Lead and manage development, support, and integration of third-party Enterprise Software Solutions, including SAP S4/HANA, Ariba, SAP Analytics Cloud, SAP Cloud Platform, Kronos, and other systems.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5+ years full time professional software development and support experience
- Background in software development or product management
- Previous leadership experience, including effective management, communication, technical and remote collaboration
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Computer Science, equivalent experience, or MBA
- Previous supervisor or management experience in a similar position
- Experience in a manufacturing environment
- Experience working with multiple software languages, platforms, and/or technologies
