Position Summary:

The Manager of IT Business Alignment and Strategic Engagement (BASE) serves as a strategic partner to business leaders and a key interface between the business and IT delivery teams. This role is responsible for understanding business needs, shaping and prioritizing technology demand, and translating business challenges into clearly defined, value-driven initiatives that align with enterprise strategy. The role leads a small team focused on solution definition, intake, and prioritization to ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value.

 

Outline of Duties:

  • Partner with business leaders to understand strategies, goals, and challenges and identify technology-enabled opportunities.
  • Shape and manage demand for enterprise technology solutions, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities.
  • Translating business needs into clearly scoped, prioritized, and deliverable initiatives.
  • Guide strategic prioritization and advise on resource allocation to maximize business value and ROI.
  • Participate in technology governance to ensure decisions reflect validated business priorities.
  • Lead evaluation and selection of business-critical systems, including vendor engagement and implementation planning.
  • Serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and IT delivery teams, ensuring clear requirements and effective handoff for execution.
  • Promote a strong focus on business value, outcomes, and return on technology investments.
  • Provide direction, mentorship, and supervision to the BASE team. This involves guiding their work, setting goals, and ensuring their professional growth.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, related field, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
  • 5-7 years of experience in data analytics development or data engineering, with experience in leadership and supervision.

 

 

Desired Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or related field
