Company Overview: Subaru of Indiana Automotive, Inc. or “SIA”, located in Lafayette, Indiana, is the only Subaru vehicle manufacturing facility outside of Japan. SIA is a 4.4 million square foot automotive OEM – meaning our manufacturing process begins with coils of steel and ends with the high-quality vehicles you see out on the roads. SIA is a frontrunner in environmental conservation being the first Zero-Landfill automotive manufacturing plant and the first to have its campus designated a backyard wildlife habitat. SIA has grown tremendously since its 1989 beginnings and continues to be an example of success within the automotive industry.

 

Outline of duties:

  • Lead the IPC audit team activities and provide direction/leadership to fellow associates.
  • Perform and coordinate audits, comparing actual practice to the SIA procedures and rules in all SIA sections.
  • Create reports and schedules using PowerPoint, Excel, and Word.
  • Reporting of non-conformance, assist, and coordination with improvement activities and follow up.
  • Help ensure that best practices are identified and communicated to all sections/stakeholders.
  • Report out to all levels of management.
  • Other assignments as directed by the Group Leader or Managers.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Background in a leadership position.
  • Proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word and MS Office.
  • Good communication skills both (verbal and written) with all levels of management.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • General knowledge and understanding of quality related rules and methods.
  • Familiarity with Standard work, OSM, PDCA, TPM, Kaizen, 5S3D and poke yoke.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience performing audits and interpreting data in a manufacturing environment.
  • Manufacturing experience as an excellent team member or leader.
  • College certificate or Degree.
