Position Summary:

The Group Leader, Supplier Management Quality provides first-level leadership to the Supplier Management Quality team. This role tracks team KPI's and facilitates training classes based off supplier needs. This role works closely with management for fiscal year budget planning, section development, and collaborates with other departments to enhance supplier performance.

Outline of duties:

• Supervise assembly trials on-site at suppliers.
• Establish section goals for team members to achieve based on section KPI’s.
• Lead a cross-functional team to identify and analyze supplier quality issues, productivity issues, and makes recommendations to assist in resolving permanently.
• Perform project management of all activities included within the scope of supplier audits, follow up, scheduling and completion.
• Illustrate and present progress based on set section KPI's to Management on a routine basis.
• Facilitates training classes based off supplier and production needs.
• Trains suppliers and internal departments on Quality-First initiatives.
• Maintains schedules for on-site supplier visits and coordinate PDCA activity.
• Collaborates with other departments to improve supplier performance in Quality and Productivity.
• Oversees and provides support for production chain optimization strategies.
• Maintains understanding of industry knowledge of responsible parts and overall automotive environment.
• Assists upper management on special assignments.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering, Industrial Technology, Quality, related field, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
• Demonstrated leadership capabilities

Desired Qualifications:

• Master's degree in relevant field
• Previous experience within project management field
