Outline of duties:

 

  • Lead the Environmental Compliance & Energy section staff (PTO, OT, PM, training, project review meetings).
  • Review and verify staff regulatory reports and documents prior to submission.
  • Serve as back-up to Section Manager for requisition approvals, section presentations, engineering approvals, site inspections, etc.
  • Conduct ISO document reviews, issue updates, and participate in internal and external ISO audits.
  • Serve as liaison between Production and Service Contract Management (WWT, CKD, By-Product).
  • Reconcile invoices while ensuring alignment with section's fiscal year budgets and assist with fiscal year budget planning.
  • Verify compliance data and review reports prior to submission.
  • Develop shutdown project schedule, resources required for project completion, and staff support schedule within the section.
  • Lead Tier II and Form R reporting activities.
  • Review and approve packaging sketches, new material requests, and waste stream certifications and approvals.
  • Issue, review, and verify CARs.
  • Lead internal section compliance audits.
  • Review and renew service contracts.
  • Submit and/or approve waste streams.
  • Oversee schedule and content for new Associate training.
  • Oversee monthly newsletter content preparation and review.
  • Schedule and lead Environmental Liaison meetings.
  • Attend Safety, Environmental, & Energy Tours.
  • Participate in Clean and Green Tour program.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 3 years of related experience in a manufacturing facility.
  • RCRA and DOT trained.
  • Knowledge of both ISO 14001 and 50001 standards.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Skilled in critical thinking, strategic planning, and problem solving.
  • Project management skills.
  • MS Office, including Advanced Excel Skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Previous supervisory or management experience preferred, but not required.
  • A basic knowledge of wastewater treatment operations, permitting, and compliance.
  • Contract management experience preferred, but not required.
  • Basic knowledge of the following: NPDES permits, SPCC, SWPPP, USTs, ASTs, Title V permits.
