Position Summary:
The Group Leader, Associate Relations provides oversight and supervision to their team of Associate Relations Representatives to develop, implement, and maintain activity towards positive employee relations, consistent organizational policy enforcement, workplace concerns and investigations, and compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws. They will also serve as the subject matter expert for all Associate relations internal programs and function as the organization’s lead/EEO investigator related to the non-exempt production workforce.
Outline of duties:
- Provides oversight and supervision to their respective team of Associate Relations Representatives. This will include scheduling of work, training and development, and coaching and performance management.
- Serves as the subject matter expert for all applicable Associate Relations programs and policies. This will include general policy administration, corrective action procedures, the Guaranteed Fair Treatment Program (GFTP), Associate Peer Reviews, investigatory processes, etc.
- Collaborates with the SIA Security, Occupational Health, and Manufacturing teams to assist in the organizational response and preparedness to crisis.
- Assists Manufacturing areas to ensure consistent application of policies and procedures.
- Serves as an escalation point for all Associates related to policy interpretation, workplace concerns, and investigations.
- Assists in the development and review of internal communication strategies related to production changes, organizational updates, etc.
- Assists in the organizational education and compliance with local, state, and federal employment laws.
- Assists with the development and reporting of Human Resources and Associate Relations KPIs.
- Functions as an organizational Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) Coordinator related to investigations and reporting.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, related field, or equivalent combination of relevant experience and education
- Three or more years of relevant experience including a demonstrated ability to lead others.
- Ability to work 2nd Shift hours (Generally, 2:00PM – 10:30PM, with potential fluctuation as needed)
- Excellent leadership skills
- Strong presentation skills
- Knowledge of principles and practices of human resource management, including the principles and practices of employee and labor relations
- Demonstrated strong experience in investigatory processes
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent team-collaboration skills including experience with dealing with multiple projects
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of state and federal labor laws and regulations
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or similar software
- Ability to foster teamwork and influence others
Desired Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or relevant field
- SHRM-CP, PHR or similar certification
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
- Previous supervisory and/or management experience
