Position Summary:
The Enterprise Business Analyst works with business partners to understand goals, objectives, processes, and requirements. This role collaborates with both IS and project stakeholders to collect, clarify, and translate business requirements into documentation and conceptional design from which a solution can be determined, developed, and deployed. The Enterprise Business Analyst assists with the implementation and support of business process and information systems transformation across multiple departments. This includes process optimization, system implementation, integration, data analysis and reporting, testing, training, and consultation.
Outline of duties:
- Serve as a liaison between business users and Information Systems to provide systems support and analysis, and to leverage technology solutions to meet the needs of business users.
- Partner with various teams to solicit, analyze, and document business requirements and translate into technical specifications.
- Proactively seek opportunities to improve processes, procedures, and increase efficiencies.
- Train and mentor users on the proper use of systems.
- Participate in testing of systems, including implementations, upgrades, and enhancements.
- Work with end users to establish checks and controls to ensure data and system integrity is maintained.
- Act as a change advocate during implementation of upgrades, enhancements, or fixes.
- Collaborate with various parties for process and technology optimization.
- Develop testing and training documentation.
- Coordinate with technical resources to develop interfaces or batch processes as required.
- Contribute to development of technology, data, and process roadmaps.
- Partner with process leaders to prepare system and data to support cyclical processes.
- Understand customer needs and quantify appropriate actions.
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or other applicable field and 5+ years of systems experience. Equivalent education and experience may be considered.
Desired Qualifications:
- Familiarity with SAP, SuccessFactors, Ariba, Concur or other enterprise business solutions.
- Experience as change management advocate.
- Technical aptitude, requirements management, and the ability to assess and articulate risk.
- Ability to establish collaborative relationships with business partners based on deep system knowledge, professionalism, and dependability.
- Experience deploying new systems and integrating existing applications.
- Strong consulting and communication skills to provide recommendations and options to meet business needs.
- Self-starter with the ability to quickly absorb new ideas and respond to change.
