Outline of duties:


  • Study our computer networks, systems, and assess any risks to see how security policies and defenses can be improved.
  • Work in collaboration with team members, and Information Systems leadership in security operations, projects, and detection, investigation, and remediation of InfoSec incidents.
  • Collaborate with all sections of Information Systems to ensure that they are following security best practices in jobs.
  • Utilize your expertise to problem solve, and automate processes as you lead projects, create dashboards, alerts, and playbooks.
  • Utilize our Security Information and Event Management to monitor computer networks and systems to identify any violations and security breaches that need to be resolved.
  • Assist in selecting, installing, and utilizing security solutions to help protect our company's data and sensitive information.
  • Carry out regular tests to simulate attacks so they can identify areas where the company is vulnerable and ways in which its systems might be exploited by hackers and viruses.
  • Develop processes to ensure our company's systems stay as safe as possible, in addition to developing security standards for all associates to adhere to. This involves researching the latest information technology security trends and software to help prevent any issues.
  • Prepare and create regular reports to document any process implementation, improvements made, and security breaches that caused damage to our company.
  • This is an in-house position. 100% remote work is not an option in this role.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications:


  • Bachelor's Degree in computer science, computer technology, information security, engineering, or related fields
  • 2 - 3 years of technical IT experience in security
  • In lieu of degree, consideration will be given to an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong expertise with Microsoft Azure, VMware, and one or more scripting languages (i.e., Python, PowerShell, etc.)
  • Excellent Analytical, problem solving, and customer service skills.
  • Strong ability to integrate and support cyber security processes, tools, and applications.
  • Originate change, effect results, and foster continuous quality improvement.
  • Prioritize daily work tasks and project responsibilities.
  • Identify operational improvements and process automation.
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate with team members and other associates to research and analyze indicators of compromise with keen attention to detail.
  • Strong skill using SIEM tools, monitoring, alerts, and reports.
  • Strong skill with perimeter security monitoring and alerting
  • Strong presentation, written and oral communication skills.


Preferred Qualifications:


  • 5+ years of technical IT experience in security
  • IT security related certification (i.e., Security+, CEH, GCTI, GCIA, etc.)
