Position Summary:
The Compliance Regulatory & Investigation Specialist is responsible for leading, managing and executing investigations into potential violations of laws, regulations, and Subaru policies. The role is also responsible for tracking and analyzing trends and compliance risks to the organization.
Outline of Duties:
- Develops, implements, and maintains comprehensive compliance investigation strategies, best practices, and processes to identify and address reports and/or allegations of violations of laws, regulations, and internal policies.
- Performs investigations into allegations of fraud, abuse, and other compliance concerns, ensuring thorough and objective analysis of evidence and documentation.
- Collaborates with other corporate functions to direct investigative activities to appropriate channels for investigation and resolution and to mitigate potential compliance risks, including but not limited to, Legal, Human Resources, Quality & Risk Management, Finance and Manufacturing Operations.
- Conducts full cycle compliance investigations of varying complexities and verifies that deficiencies are corrected.
- Monitors and maintains records of corrective actions taken in response to investigatory outcomes.
- Prepares and presents regular reports on compliance investigations activities, findings, and outcomes to the Executive Compliance Committee, and/or varying levels of leadership as necessary, and regulatory authorities, as required.
- Provides guidance and training to Associates and/or stakeholders on compliance policies, procedures, and best practices, fostering a culture of ethical conduct and accountability throughout the organization.
- Collaborates with all stakeholders through effective communication and partnership to develop a positive regulatory compliance culture.
- Analyzes compliance data to identify trends and report out findings with recommendations and benchmarking against established compliance KPIs (e.g. timeliness to close investigations, systemic risk-identification, etc.)
- Performs and/or supports spot audit and compliance monitoring initiatives.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- 4+ years of compliance, investigatory, or related experience
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and best practices for internal compliance investigation programs
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience interacting with multiple levels of personnel within an organization, including senior leadership, legal counsel, and federal and state regulators on compliance related matters.
- Experience with Navex EthicsPoint or equivalent case management software.
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience working within the automotive manufacturing industry.
- Experience working for an international company.
