Outline of duties:

 

  • Responsible to manage 10-15 supplier accounts with an average annual spend of $120 Million.
  • Achieve company sourcing targets.
  • Gain industry knowledge of commodity group and automotive industry trends.
  • Create long-term sourcing strategy for commodity groups.
  • Facilitate new supplier vetting (including on-site and financial audits).
  • Execute sourcing strategies through the sourcing decision-making process.
  • Report and gain final approval up to Executive level Management.
  • Achieve company cost reduction targets.
  • Cost-structure and supply-chain analysis
  • Supplier production process evaluation and improvement activities.
  • Supplier negotiation
  • Initiate VA/VE activity through collaboration with Design Engineers.
  • Tactical support for supplier quality, delivery, development, AP/AR, and service parts.
  • Other account maintenance activity (including engineering change cost analysis and approval, and other contract activity).

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • Bachelor’s in Procurement, Supply-Chain, Manufacturing, Business, Engineering, Finance, or related field of study.
  • High degree of self-motivation
  • High degree of ownership
  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and reporting skills.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • Automotive industry experience and parts cost-structure knowledge (base materials, processes, logistics, etc.).
  • Good understanding of Purchasing and product development processes.
  • Production process background/knowledge.
