Position Overview: The SIA Production Team Leader is SIA’s first level of leadership; they will be their team’s technical expert and is responsible for contributing to their teams’ achieving the Company’s objectives for safety, quality, cost, delivery, and team harmony. The Team Leader is responsible for being a subject-matter expert within their team and a resource to all team members.

 

 

Outline of duties:

 

  • Act as a technical resource to each Associate within the Team.
  • Be an active presence on the assembly line.
  • Create the Associate station schedules while ensuring ergonomic efficiency.
  • Maintain, track, and present Key Performance Indicators for their specific Team.
  • Demonstrates a positive role model for all Associates to promote each Team Member’s success.
  • Maintains familiarity with all job duties and skill levels of all Team Members and monitors events that may affect Team performance.
  • Responsible for auditing processes and individual performances.
  • Aligns leadership styles to that of SIA’s Principles and Values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Group Leader/Manager.

 

Minimum Qualifications:

 

  • 4+ years Team Leadership experience in a Manufacturing setting.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Must be willing to give and take direction.
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability.
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and be self-accountable.
  • Demonstrate behaviors which require initiative and self-motivation.
  • Ability to treat others with Dignity and Respect.
  • Ability to give presentations to the upper management of the company.
  • Ability to lead Kaizen/Continuous improvement activities.
  • Must be willing to work any shift (1st, 2nd, or 3rd).

 

 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

 

  • AS Degree in Organizational Leadership or related field.
  • Experience in an Automotive Manufacturing Environment.
